Thursdays Editing Collective Workshop

Thursdays Editing Collective Workshop

Saturday, March 17 from 2:30 to 4:30 pm Carnegie Centre, Third Floor

We shall start with a writing prompt: Write about walking through a bank as a bank robber. Then we will write again: walking through the same bank as a lottery winner depositing their winnings. We shall have a brief chat about how the point of view (pov) determines what words you use, the tone of the piece, the length of sentence, etc. Then we shall look at work submitted ahead of time by participants and talk about how it affects us, what we liked, what we noticed, etc. All submitted work will get written feedback from the facilitators.

If you have work you would like to have help editing, please send it to: thursdayedit@gmail.com before Friday, March 17.

All welcome, even if you have not submitted a piece.

Joan Flood and Kevin Spenst will facilitate the workshop.
