Stanza Project Writing Rebounds from Netherlands
When John Asfour was in town to launch V6A he joined us in class to read his poem, “Moving.” We wrote off one of the lines that began with the phrase, “take the windows.”
Recently I sent our written “sketches” to our partner, architect Mark Proosten. He posted this little message on the Stanza Project Facebook page:
take the windows;
when reading this poem of one of the writers from the Thursday Writing Collective this “image” popped into my mind..
Mark linked to this short clip of Jacques Tati’s Play About Time. It’s a funny little critique of the alienating effect of modern architecture. What do you think?
Mark also sent this sketch drafted in response to our writing.
