Type Up for DTES Writers

Word on the Street 2012 comes to the Carnegie Centre on Saturday, September 29!

DTES Writers:

The Type-Up, from 10AM until noon, is an excellent chance to have your writing typed up and looking good! Volunteers will enter your stories/poems/letters on their laptops and then email them to you or save them to a disk/USB drive for you to keep so you have a good copy of your work.

Ten pages double-spaced is the limit.

A sign-up sheet for the Type-Up will be posted in the Carnegie Library in August. Stay tuned for details.

If you are interested in helping and have a laptop, we have space for ten volunteers to enter handwritten or typed material on laptops. The job is to transcribe rather than edit, although light editing for spelling, punctuation, and grammar as you transcribe would be great! The entries will be limited to ten pages double-spaced, but volunteers will consider time and number of sign-ups. There will be two one-hour sessions. If you haven’t had a chance to participate in Carnegie Centre activities this is it!
